Donate Now! 24-Hour Day of Giving

St. Martin’s 24 Hour Day of Giving

For ninety-seven years, the halls at St. Martin’s School have been filled with the voices of students: learning, laughing, and growing in God’s image. On Tuesday of Catholic Schools Week, we are planning an exciting day of support for all we do at St. Martin’s. For 24 hours, from Tuesday, February 1 at 12:00 pm through Wednesday, February 2 at 12:00 pm, St. Martin’s will be asking for donations from all who has been impacted by Catholic schools at some point in their lives. We are asking for donations from students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, grandparents, parishioners, and friends. Donations may be made the day of, on our safe and secure online payment portal or through cash or check sent in with your child. If we reach our goal, we plan to purchase a horizontal climbing wall, which will be incorporated into our physical education curriculum. The climbing experience is adaptable for all ages, and students are never more than a few feet above the safety mat. Climbing is a full body workout, which boosts physical skills such as balance, hand and foot coordination, and agility.

  • Double your impact! Each grade has at least one family who has offered to match the donations made from their class, up to $50 and in some cases higher. Therefore, if you either donate online or send in money with your child, your donation will double or triple in value. A $5 donation turns into $10 or more. For families with more than one child, online donations will be split equally between grades, unless you instruct us otherwise.

  • Each student who donates receives a SMS Spirit Bandana and a Tag Day on Monday, February 7.

  • There will be competition between grades for highest participation. Pre-K will compete with Kindergarten; First grade will compete with Second grade, and so forth. Special treats or parties can be won. The grade with the highest participation in the school will win a TAG DAY and a PIZZA PARTY. The second highest wins a TAG DAY and an ICE CREAM party. Any donation of a dollar or more counts toward participation.

  • One hundred percent (100%) of our School Board, Faculty, and Staff have pledged to donate on this Day of Giving. So many believe and work toward our mission.

  • The online payment portal is 24-Hour Day of Giving. You may also find this link on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. If you donate online, on the payment page, there is a line to include a “note.” BE SURE TO WRITE THE GRADES YOUR CHILDREN ARE IN so your donation will be counted toward their classes’ participation and matching donation. The payment portal will be “live” starting February 1 at 12:00 pm and close on February 2 at 12:00 pm.

  • If you donate with a check, write the check payable to St. Martin’s School. With your cash or check donation, be sure to include what grade your children are in so your donation will be counted toward their classes’ participation and matching donation.

Thank you for supporting our mission! With your help, we will have a very successful Day of Giving. Please contact Anne Gemunder, Director of Development at agemunder@smsmd.org or your child’s homeroom teacher with questions or concerns.
